It doesn't take a lot of imagination to see that Frankie (white triangle on his left side) and Willie (white spot on his back) are brothers. When these boys came into the rescue, they were very, very shy. They are now starting to feel more confident and are ready for the next stage of their lives...a FOREVER home. These boys are very fast and active and should not be considered for very young children without CONSTANT adult supervision. They are bonded and must be adopted together. Guinea pigs are a long term commitment of at least 5 to 7 years; so if you can't commit to giving them the long term love and affection they need and deserve, please don't adopt a guinea pig. Guinea pigs are social animals, and should always have a friend of their own kind. These wonderful little creatures live an average of 5 to 7 years, and I've even had them live up till they were 9 and 10 1/2. Children under the age of 12 should always be supervised by an adult when holding guinea pigs. They are also vegetarians. Among their favorite veggies are Romaine, Parsley, Green leaf/Red leaf lettuce, Endive, Collard Greens, Kale, Tomatoes, Carrots (in moderation) and Green/Red/Yellow or Orange peppers, just to name a few.
